Weber High School
Class Of 1960

  News about Weber60

It has been some time since I sent a message to the Weber 60 site members.  Since I am the site administrator, I have to confess that I have done nothing with the site in almost 7 years other than paying a nominal annual fee to keep it active.

I want to know if you feel there is any benefit of keeping this site active ? or should I develop; a facebook site for Weber 60?

If some of you feel there is a benefit of keeping the site active, I would like to have someone volunteer to be a co-administrator of the site. Please reply to me about keeping the site active or replacing it with a Facebook Weber60 site. The Facebook site would allow you to individually post updates, pictures and news without the need for administrators action.

On another Note

About 6 times a year a few of us have been getting together for lunch.  We generally meet at a northwest side, west suburban or  northwest suburban Chicago restaurant.

Bob Mroz, Jack Drzewiki, Bill Batalden, Ray Gondek, Stan Koy, Rich BrzÄ™czek Lou Bielakowski, Don Falduto, Chet Tyska and I have periodically enjoyed lunch, shared memories, and probably told a few exaggerated stories. It has  been fun and good fellowship.

Our next lunch is planned for noon on November 19,at the Red Apple located at 6474 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60631. The Red Apple Buffet Restaurant is an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant with a long tradition of serving great tasting traditional and contemporary Polish and international food.

I hope that some of you will be able to join the “regulars” and make the afternoon an happy experience

1960 Class Reunion Picture

Here is the picture of your classmates that attended the 2010 Weber Alumni Association Banquet.  See how many you can identify.  The same picture, along with names, can be found if you click on "50th Anniversary Pic" on the left side column of this home page.

Welcome to the Weber Class of 1960 Web Site

We started out in 1956 welcoming Elvis and Sputnik and scared to death of "Karlo".  By the time we left, in May of 1960, a Catholic was running for the Presidential Nomination, Gunsmoke was the most popular TV Show and a new Corvette, base price was $3,872. "Karlo" had "touched" many of us. We no longer feared him; we respected him.

Help us continue to make our "Golden Anniversary Year" a memorable and friendship renewing event.  Most of us have fond memories of our time at Weber.  Some of us have a few "striking" remembrances.  Our entire class list and year book photos have been uploaded. This is a start.

Make this Web Site a friendship renewing tool

  1. This can be the vehicle to allow us to rekindle relationships and begin the next phase of our lives developing new "old friends".
  2. Log in and update your profile.
  3. In order to make the most of the Web Site, we need your input and cooperation.  Please update your profile.  There is space for you to comment and let us know about things happening in your life.  You can upload pictures, video clips and chat with others that may be on-line.
  4. You can post questions and announcements.
  5. Contact fellow alumni, you know, who are not registered on our site.  Encourage them to visit the site and register.
  6. You can write to us with your thoughts and suggestions.

In Memory Of

If you are aware of deaths, please click on the In Memory link and you will have the opportunity to send us the classmate's name and other information that you may have.
